Accommodation

Accommodation:

With the accommodation price paid included is: Rental of the accommodation booked, access to site facilities and designated areas, water, gas and bedding in some accommodations. NOT included is any extras added e.g. extra person/s, pre-ordered cakes, towels, rubbish collection (all bin bags and recycling should be taken to the bin’s located next to the shower unit), washing of provided kitchenware & bed stripping.

Arrival and Departure:

Arrivals on site for all accommodations is 3:30pm on day of booking. Guests must report to the office to be signed in and have the accommodation key provided. Departure is from 11:00am. Please leave the accommodation as it was found, clean and tidy. You will be charged an additional cleaning fee of £45 should your accommodation be found in an unsatisfactory state.

Please note that check-in time is advised for 3:30pm and afterwards, if a late arrival is needing to be arranged please ensure the site is informed of this, an extra care may be incurred. Please allow unloading time for luggage before dark. Your key will be left in the door of your accommodation in this instance and a map on our site will have been emailed to you.

Should you be delayed for any reason please do make North Shire aware as soon as possible.

Extra cleaning: Guests are politely reminded to leave their accommodation as they found it. Following North Shire’s guide lines to remove all personal items, take rubbish to designated bins and to remove all food stuffs. An extra cleaning charge of £45 will be issued if the accommodation is left in unacceptable condition.

Bookings:

The bookings for North Shire are taken by persons over the age of 18. We reserve the right to refuse a booking without giving reason. When booking online through certain websites North Shire automatically receive an email with the details and the booking is added to the corresponding system on site. A contract will be formed between guests and North Shire once a confirmation email has been received direct from North Shire. Any issues must be notified within 7 days of the confirmation email being received.

Cancellation & Refund Policy:

Upon booking with North Shire Ltd, you are agreeing to our terms & conditions. We are unable to offer refunds for bookings, so ask that customers check dates and accommodation information carefully prior to completing your booking.

In the event of a pandemic, natural disaster, act of god or any other incident beyond our control, North Shire will endeavour to move your booking to a new date of your choosing within 12 months of your original date. We do not offer refunds.

Complaints Procedure:

We take great care to ensure your stay at North Shire is enjoyable and memories are made. If however during your stay you wish to make a complaint please contact the site manager, Christina Marshall, northshireltd@gmail.com or report the issue to a member of staff on site at reception if during the hours of 9:00am and 5:00pm. If the matter is not settled to your satisfaction during your stay please write to North Shire within 14 days of your departure.

Day visitors:

Day visitors are always welcome on site, however a member of office staff must be made aware prior to your stay. There is a charge of £5 per visitor per day, payable by current guest or day visitor. They are not permitted to stay overnight.

General:

The contract formed between guest and site is valid from date & time of booking the stay till departure. The contracting partner is North Shire. We are not bound by any printing errors.

Group Bookings:

As North Shire is a family friendly site with children of all ages welcome we do not accept single sex parties (e.g. Hen or stag parties) without this being arranged prior to arrival with the site manager. North Shire reserve the right to refuse a group booking if we feel it will interrupt other guests on site unless all available accommodations are booked at once. Liability:

North Shire will not accept liability for the following:

  • Loss of personal items or damage or theft of whatever nature during or after a stay a North Shire.
  • Any flaw, or non-functional equipment, loss or closure of supplies at North Shire.
  • Guests are held responsible for any losses and/or damage which occur due to their direct or indirect stay or third party at North Shire.
  • Guests should be aware of a damage charge to any site furnish which can be directly related back to guest of £100 plus staff charges.

Making alterations:

If a major change to your booking is made you will incur a small admin fee. North Shire are not complied to make changes to your stay after the booking is confirmed unless you wish to add extra’s subject to availability, add an extra booking or change the dates of your booking to a more expensive period.

Payments:

North Shire request a 30% to 50% deposit upon booking. We reserve the right to determine when a deposit with an outstanding balance can be made. Deposits (30% to 50% of total payment) can be made over the phone or in person. Bookings on online sites arrange their own payment terms. Full payment must be made a minimum of 6 weeks prior to stay subject to availability. If you book less than 6 weeks prior to your stay, payment must be made in full upon booking.

North Shire will contact you to take a payment if the remaining balance has not been paid up until 6 weeks prior to the booking. Any payments failed to be received within 6 weeks prior to a stay the booking will be terminated and cancelled.

Pets:

North Shire is home to a variety of animals including hens, peacocks, goats and ponies therefore we do not allow visitors to bring dogs or any other animals on site.

Weddings:

In the unfortunate event that you have to cancel your booking, there needs to be an agreed “cancellation policy”, as cancellations are costly for the business.

All payments made to North Shire are non-refundable.

Cancellation – All payments are non-refundable; for this reason we advise The Couple to secure appropriate insurance to cover any financial loss due to cancellation.
Once the deposit is paid, Wedding date is set. Moving the date is subject to availability and at the discretion of North Shire.

This contract is NON TRANSFERABLE. It is between North Shire Ltd and The Couple and cannot be sold, exchanged or gifted to any third party.

Any cancellation must be confirmed to North Shire in writing, either by post or email.

Our cancellation charges reflect the costs we have incurred in preparing for the event and are non-negotiable.

Cancellation by North Shire

If, due to circumstances beyond our control for example fire or damage to the venue, North Shire is unavailable for your event on the agreed date, then we will endeavour to find you an alternative date. If we are unable to do this then a refund of your balance excluding your initial deposit will be given.

We ask that all couples booking with us obtain wedding insurance to protect them in these events.

Prices:

The prices on North Shire’s website and Facebook are not binding and can be modified at any time by North Shire. The price stated on the received confirmation emails is binding. Special offers/discounts cannot be used once a booking is made and confirmed and a payment is made.

Risks:

North Shire is part farm, please be aware of site animals. Do not feed the site animals. Also please be aware of cars, and site machinery amongst other hazards.
Fires are not permitted at all anywhere on site at North Shire.

North Shire is NOT responsible for accidents occurring on site. Children must be supervised at all times on site. As general holidays we recommend that holiday insurance is taken out against accidents and your booking terminating early.

Damages and Breakages:

Guests are advised to check the accommodation for any damages and breakages upon arrival, if anything is found to report it to a member of staff. Any damages or breakages will be supported by receipts for repairs/replacements/new items plus staff charges and photographic evidence.

Should you find any issues with your accommodation upon check in, please report this immediately to the Site Manager or member of staff on reception. North Shire will not be held responsible for any issues reported after your stay and a refund will not be offered.

Site regulations:

In order to make all guests stay at North Shire as pleasant as possible please ensure all site rules are followed. Site rules as follows:

  • High noise levels must be kept to a minimum after 10:00pm.
  • Behaving in a safe and considerate manner to guests, animals and staff on site at all times.
  • No open fires due to the risk of moor fires in our area.

If site rules are breached North Shire reserve the rights to terminate your stay early without a refund. North Shire may make changes on site, to facilities and open hours as needed. Please note that animal care and maintenance and accommodation maintenance may be made without any entitlement to compensation.

Weddings & Events


Terms and Conditions

North shire hold the right to cancel any event wedding or private function at their own discretion

All payments made to North Shire are non-refundable.

Cancellation – All payments are non-refundable; for this reason we advise The Couple to secure appropriate insurance to cover any financial loss due to cancellation.
Once the deposit is paid, Wedding date is set. Moving the date is subject to availability and at the discretion of North Shire.

This contract is NON TRANSFERABLE. It is between North Shire Ltd and The Couple and cannot be sold, exchanged or gifted to any third party.

Early arrival may be possible at price set by North Shire

Weddings & Events deposits are all non-refundable and must be paid at the time of booking.

No refunds are given all sales are final.

No smoking on the field or North Shire site

Minimum noise after 10.00pm

No dogs allowed

Caravans are charged at £5 extra per night

Children must be supervised at all times.

The owners and organisers of North Shire and any associated North Shire events take no responsibility for any items lost stolen or damaged.

Toilets and showers must be left in a clean condition.

Anybody who causes trouble or acts in an inappropriate way will be asked to leave and no refund given.

No open fires are allowed onsite.

Visitors agree to leave promptly at the end of any event, at the time specified in information at North Shire.

Prior written permission is needed from North Shire in any sales promotions, media, marketing, reward programmes, staff incentives, raffles, auctions or general competitions.

Visitors to any events may not distribute leaflets, fliers or other information or sell any goods or services without prior written permission of North Shire.

In the event of a cancellation and/or evacuation of the event due to extreme weather or other emergency, visitors agree to follow the instructions of North Shire crew on site.

If an event has to be cancelled due to reasons beyond the control of North Shire, such as extreme weather, tickets will not be refunded.

No fires or use of own cooking equipment are allowed on site. The only fires permitted on site are those in control of the North Shire Crew.

Parents or carers remain responsible for the safety of their children at all times and understand that there are no crèche facilities of any kind, including Workshops, on site.

One parent or carer must accompany each child or group of children for whom they have bought places, in each Workshop or activity, if the child is 3 – 6 years of age or requires help.

Commercial photography including video, and /or sound-recording, is not permitted on site except with the prior written permission of North Shire.

North Shire logo cannot be used under any circumstance without first written confirmation of the use.

The stories and content of Workshops and other North Shire activities are the copyright of North Shire and purchasers and users of tickets agree not to copy, reproduce or perform any of this material.

With the exception of registered Guide Dogs, no dogs or other pet animals are permitted on site at any time, including in the Car Park(s).

By visiting the event, persons agree to their likeness being used in video or photographs by North Shire in its educational, promotional or fundraising materials

No amount of alcohol may be brought onto the site. Neither this nor other food or drink not purchased on on-site may be consumed in North Shire’s Green Dragon Café.

Any person who is in the opinion of North Shire acting in any way dangerously, abusively or who is incapacitated through use of drink or drugs must comply with a request to leave the event. Illegal drugs or ‘natural highs’ are not permitted.

All visitors agree to take away with them any packaging or other materials which could otherwise become rubbish, except nappies which must be deposited in the receptacle at the Baby Change. There are no general ‘rubbish’ facilities on site.

Visitors agree to use the recycling facilities provided on site for disposal of unwanted plastic bottles, cans, paper cups, plates etc. arising from use of catering facilities. Own recyclables may also be deposited here.

Parents and carers agree to consider in advance the needs of any particularly sensitive children and take account of the role-play and in-character acting of walkabout and other performers at the event (eg Trolls, Pirates) in deciding whether or not to bring such children.

Visitors agree to comply with advertised times.

First Aid cover is provided for events but parents and carers remain responsible for ensuring that any special medical needs are met for themselves and anyone else in their party, including epipens, medicines and asthma inhalers.

A range of catering including vegetarian is provided at most events but people with special dietary requirements should bring their own food or make their allergies known to a member of staff immediately and with prior notice.

All visitors are responsible for making their own way to the event and for arriving in good time, including for any bookings for timed Workshops.

The main event site is easily accessible by wheelchair and ‘Disabled Parking’ and accessible toilets are available on site. The more remote parts of the site are not easily accessible by wheelchair. Workshop tents are too small to accommodate more than one wheelchair in addition to the other people booked. Parents and carers agree to contact North Shire if they wish to bring a wheelchair into a Workshop tent for themselves or a child, at least one week before the event, and preferably before making a Workshop booking. Parents and carers should also contact North Shire if they are in any doubt about the ability of children to take part in any Workshop or activity for any reason and agree to inform the Workshop crew of any relevant special needs a child may have, before the Workshop begins, and be prepared to help the child themselves if that is needed.

Purchase or use of a ticket for the above event(s) constitutes agreement to the above Terms and Conditions
